THE AUTHOR Johan R. Ryheul is the author of several books and photobooks on World War I such as Marinekorps Flandern, German Naval Air Service at the Western Front I and II, Flugplatz Jabbeke-Flugplatz Stalhille, The German 38 cm guns Max in Flanders, U-Flottille Flandern I and II,... Further more he has participated in WW I aviation books with some of the world's most reknown WW I aviation historians and in several books concerning the Zeebrugge and Oostende raids of 1918. He has also participated in WW I documentaries for History Channel and the BBC. In 2003 he was also interviewed by the BBC concerning U-boat warfare.
